Both times we traveled to Arenal, Costa Rica we stayed at the Lost Iguana Resort and Spa. There is an abundance of wildlife roaming the resort and loads of beautiful flora and fauna.

We absolutely LOVE this hotel. They have beautiful views of the Arenal Volcano from almost everywhere in the resort. Our favorite room #6. We think it has the best view of all.

We were able to do the Rio Penas Blancas Safari Float in 2007 when we were in Costa Rica. It was a great relaxing way to spend your morning. You don’t have to paddle the tour guides do all the work. We booked our tour at the Lost Iguana Resort and our tour guide was Johnny, we was really professional and very very knowledgable on the wildlife and plants.
Here are some of our pictures from our float:

We would love to hear about your trip there too!

We were able to visit the Butterfly Conservatory in 2007 when we were in Costa Rica. It was fascinating! They even have a HUGE snake that they get out and let people hold.
